Rebecca McGilveray
Project Coordinator for the Obama Presidency Oral History from 2020 to 2022, Program Manager for the Oral History Master of Arts Program, Research Assistant on the Mott Haven Oral History Project, and Project Manager for the Aryeh Neier Oral History Project.
Rebecca McGilveray first joined Incite in 2019 as a Communications Fellow and Administrative Assistant for the Oral History MA program (OHMA), and she has since served as the Program Manager for OHMA. Concurrently, she acted as Project Coordinator for the Obama Presidency Oral History. In this capacity, she managed the scheduling of hundreds of oral history interviews and provided support to narrators and interviewers throughout the interview process.
Other projects throughout Incite, which she has supported in both an intellectual and administrative capacity, have included the Transforming India podcast, the Aryeh Neier Oral History Project and the Mott Haven Oral History Project. Rebecca's research interests include oral histories of gentrification and displacement and the impact of deindustrialization on her home country of Scotland. She has spoken at national conferences on transitional justice in Northern Ireland and on the significance of GDPR and data protection for oral historians.
