Chris Pandza

Communication Design at Incite and Oral History Master of Arts Fellow from 2021 to 2022.

During his tenure on the project, Chris Pandza developed the Obama Presidency Oral History’s public communication design. This process combined graphic and experiential design with natural language processing technologies.

Chris collaborated with a dynamic team, including the award-winning creative agency Huncwot, computational sociology expert Jean-Philippe Cointet at the Sciences Po médialab, and Incite’s own research team. This collaboration led to multiple breakthroughs in how oral histories are displayed and experienced online.

Chris is a designer at Incite, where he develops communication design for several projects. Prior to joining Incite, Chris worked as a designer and marketer in the tech, media, and telecom industries on brands including Disney Channel, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, TELUS, and YTV.

Chris holds a BA in Media, Information & Technoculture from Western University and an HBA from Ivey Business School. Chris is also a graduate of Columbia’s Oral History Master of Arts program. His graduate work combined graphic design, experiential design, and artificial intelligence to analyze, organize, and curate large oral history collections.
