Julius Wilson - Staff - Obama Presidency Oral History
Julius Wilson
Research and Editorial Assistant for the Obama Presidency Oral History from 2019 to 2022, as well as Program and Communications Coordinator at Incite.
Julius Wilson greatly expanded the Obama Presidency Oral History team’s research capacity, and he engaged deeply with the full collection of interviews as it rapidly grew during the first three years of the undertaking. His work to summarize, synthesize, and compare interview content aided project leadership in setting the overall scope and direction. Julius also conducted a half dozen interviews for the project on topics including journalism, media relations, and transparency.
Julius is currently a PhD student in Government and Social Policy at the Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, with research interests broadly in government institutions. He holds a BA from Columbia in Sociology with a minor in African-American studies. While at Incite, Julius oversaw all of the center’s external communications, directed Incite's yearly Social Science Summer education program, coordinated the Columbia Center for Oral History Research’s biennial summer institute, and provided support on various other projects.
